Gunpowder tea (Chinese: zhū chá; lit.: ‘pearl tea’) is a form of Chinese tea in which each leaf has been rolled into a small round pellet. A bold taste and lightly smoky, higher in caffeine than most other green teas. Its English name comes from its resemblance to grains of gunpowder.
Gunpowder 9675 is a green tea made from these green tea leaves. The tea is named “Gunpowder” because the leaves are rolled into pearl shaped pellets that resemble gunpowder and the infusion has a distinct smoky character.
