[Purpose] The test kit is used to in vitroqualitatively detect rotavirus and adenovirus antigens in stool samples of diarrhea patients. This kit is used to assist the clinical diagnosis of the infection of the polyamide virus and adenovirus. The results need to be further confirmed by the clinician in combination with the patient's symptoms, characteristics and other findings. Rotavirus is one of the main pathogens causing diarrhea in infants, it can also cause diarrhea for adult. The diarrhea is mainly caused by the damages of cells because of epithelial cell infected. The rotavirus prevails every summer, autumn and winter, the route of infection is feces-mouth, and the clinical feature is acute gastritis, indicating infiltrating diarrhea disease, which lasts for 7 days with symptom of fever for 3 days, emesis for 2-3 days, diarrhea for 5 days and even dehydration in severe cases. Adenovirus is a large group of viruses that can cause diseases in respiratory tract, eye, digestive tract, urethra and bladder, etc. Intestinal adenovirus is an important pathogen causing diarrhea in infants, and its incidence is second only to rotavirus. The incubation period of intestinal adenovirus diarrhea is significantly longer than that of other viral diarrhea, around 8~10 days, typical cases of 5~12 days, occasionally up to 2 weeks. The clinical features are emesis for 1- days, after that the watery diarrhea occurs. Most of the infant infected were accompanied by low fever for 2-3 days. Compared with rotavirus, diarrhea and dehydration of adenovirus are mild, but death will be caused by dehydration in severe case.
