Faststar DNA polymerase is a mixture of anti Taq enzyme monoclonal antibody and CW0680 Taq DNA polymerase, which is suitable for hot start PCR. When using Taq enzyme antibody for PCR amplification, the binding of Taq enzyme antibody with Taq enzyme inhibited DNA polymerase activity before denaturation, which could effectively inhibit the nonspecific annealing of primers and nonspecific amplification caused by primer dimer under low temperature. Taq enzyme antibody was denatured in the initial DNA denaturation step of PCR reaction, and the DNA polymerase activity recovered to achieve the hot start effect. This product does not need to inactivate Taq enzyme antibody. It can be used under the condition of routine PCR reaction.

Faststar DNA polymerase has 5 ′→ 3 ′ DNA polymerase activity and 5 ′→ 3 ′ exonuclease activity, but no 3 ′→ 5 ′ exonuclease activity. The elongation rate of the enzyme is 2 kb / min, and the fragment length can reach 5 kb. The 3 ′ end of the PCR product was attached with a "A" base, so it could be directly used for T / A cloning. This product has the characteristics of rapid extension and high amplification efficiency, which is mainly suitable for PCR amplification of DNA fragments, DNA sequencing and other experiments.
